About the role: Our Commissioning Start up Operability Team ensures that new or modified assets are rigorously tested, compliant, and ready to transition safely and efficiently into operational use. On a highly regulated nuclear site, robust commissioning is essential, your work will directly support safe operations, regulatory compliance, and long term asset performance. Our commissioning activities span: • Operational value streams. • Site infrastructure and major projects. • IT and security systems. • Both new build and modification environments. Who we’re looking for: We welcome applications from individuals with backgrounds in: • Operations • Maintenance • Technical Support • Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Control & Instrumentation) You may be an experienced professional or early in your career looking for progression. If you bring most of the following, we’d love to hear from you: • Understanding of legal, regulatory, contractual and governance requirements linked to commissioning. • Knowledge of commissioning deliverables: People, Plant, and Procedures. • Experience with design processes, HAZOP, risk management, estimating, and knowledge management. • Familiarity with commissioning arrangements aligned with Nuclear Site Licence Condition 21. • Experience delivering engineering, manufacturing, process, or plant based tasks. • Involvement in defining and implementing Operations & Maintenance arrangements. • Ability to develop positive stakeholder relationships and communicate effectively. • A passion for shaping the future operation of new plants and systems. • Ability to work within a team or lead defined work packages. • Experience mentoring or coaching others. • Good document and report writing skills. • Awareness of the Sellafield gated process. • Ability to obtain DV (Developed Vetting) clearance.
