Graduate Development Scheme


The Sellafield Ltd Graduate Development Scheme is a structured two-year Continuous Professional Development (CPD) scheme designed to cultivate the next generation of nuclear professionals.

Its primary aim is to enable, develop, and shape emerging talent into innovative specialists who will contribute to the successful delivery of Sellafield’s mission.

The scheme supports graduates in building a foundation for lifelong learning and professional growth, regardless of their career aspirations. It equips participants with the skills, knowledge, and mindset required to thrive in the nuclear industry.

The Graduate Development Scheme offers roles in a range of different areas. Within each role the scheme is broken down into three elements:

  • Core Scheme Learning and Development (CPD)
  • On the job Technical Competency
  • Chartership Progression
